The third day of practice in Masjidi baland

 07.05.2025

Today we visited one of the most beautiful and quiet places in Bukhara — Masjidi Baland 🕌✨🌟

It was a bright and peaceful morning when we, a group of students, went to see one of the most special mosques in the city. Our practical teacher Mohichehra Temirovna and Colton were with us. The mosque we visited is called Masjidi Baland, and it is small but full of interesting history and calmness 🌟☺️.

As we entered the narrow street where the mosque stands, it felt like stepping into a different world — quiet, peaceful, and full of old charm 🕊️🌿. The mosque stands on a slightly raised platform, which is where the name “Baland” (meaning "elevated" or "high") comes from 🧱🌄.

A Glimpse into History 📜

Masjidi Baland was built in the early 16th century, during the time of the Shaybanid dynasty — one of the powerful ruling periods in Central Asian history.

Though the mosque may look small from the outside, it holds centuries of silent stories inside. Unlike many other historical buildings, it was never destroyed, only preserved with light restorations. This means most of what we saw today — the walls, the wooden roof, the mihrab — is original. That’s rare and truly special 💫⭐🌟.

Architectural Beauty 🧡

Even with its modest size, the mosque is full of elegance. The wooden ceiling is hand-carved with intricate patterns, showing the artistry of Bukhara’s craftsmen. The interior has a calming simplicity — no overwhelming decoration, just enough to let your heart feel connected to the space ❤️. The soft light entering through the small windows gave the place a golden glow, and we stood silently for a few moments, taking it all in 🪔✨.

More than just a mosque 📚🕌

Masjidi Baland was not only a place of worship — it was a space for gathering, sharing knowledge, and spiritual growth. People came here to learn, to teach, and to connect with each other and with God. Even today, the energy of that intention remains in the air 🕊️🌿📖.

Special Moments with Our Teachers 👩‍🏫🧑‍🏫

Mohichehra Temirovna shared deep historical insights with us — her words made the past come alive. She always speaks from the heart, and it shows. Colton was talking to us about the cultural meanings behind the mosque’s features. We’re lucky to learn from such passionate people 🥰.

What I Felt Today... 😌❤️

This visit wasn’t just about facts or architecture. It was about feeling. Feeling connected — to history, to culture, to something deeper. It reminded me how important it is to preserve our heritage and respect the places that hold our shared memories 🕰️💭.

I left Masjidi Baland with peace in my heart, wisdom in my mind, and a quiet joy I can’t fully explain 💖.

If you ever visit Bukhara, don’t miss this small but powerful corner of history. It may be “baland” in name, but it’s even higher in spirit.😍😍💫💫💫

Thank you for your attention!🥰❤️
